Doula Training For Medical Professionals

Course Description

This comprehensive doula training course is specifically designed for  medical
professionals who wish to expand their knowledge and skills within OBGYN by providing holistic support to
pregnant individuals and their families during labor and birth. The course aims to bridge the gap between clinical care and emotional, physical, and informational support, emphasizing the integral role that doulas play in enhancing maternal health outcomes.

Students will engage in hands-on workshops where they can practice skills such as comfort
measures during labor simulations. Additionally, there will be opportunities for role-playing
scenarios that enhance communication with patients and healthcare teams.

Upon completion of this training program, participants will be equipped with enhanced skills to provide compassionate care as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on improving maternal health outcomes. This course not only enriches professional development but also fosters a deeper understanding of the supportive role that doulas play in enhancing the birthing experience and ways to work with your patient’s doula at the bed side.
